The Pennsylvania Department of Health (PA DOH) is committed to a prepared workforce as an essential component in strengthening the Commonwealth's public health system and enhancing our ability to respond to incidents of bioterrorism, outbreaks of infectious disease, and other public health threats and emergencies. To this end, the PA Prepared Learning Management System (LMS) contains courses and content from national and state experts regarding issues of public health preparedness. Benefits to you include: (1) Access to the LMS 24 hours per day 7 days per week; (2) Access to LMS via any computer with Internet access at; (3) Access to the most current information available at the time.
In collaboration with PA DOH, the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health Center for Public Health Practice is pleased to announce the availability of FREE continuing education opportunities for a multitude of materials on LMS. Some have been accredited for Continuing Medical Education; some for Continuing Nursing Education; and others have received generally recognized Continuing Education Units. There are still other items which have been accredited by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and other credentialing authorities.
To determine the specific accreditation an item carries on LMS, just select a title and click on the "Read Me First." You will be able to quickly determine whether the course objectives are relevant for you as well as the type and number of credits associated with the course.
